Vin Neuf Canapés

The region of Rioja has wonderful history, generosity of its people, incredible wines and countryside make it a fascinating region to visit.

Rioja has taken its rightful place among a small group of great red wine regions of the World, namely Bordeaux, Napa Valley, Tuscany to name a few.

Spain’s most renowned winemaking region, Rioja continues to produce exceptional wines. Its winemakers are actively engaged in a lively debate about how best to retain the traditional ways while embracing modern viticultural practices and vinification techniques to make the finest wines possible.

Looking at Rioja from space it would look like an elongated bowl with the EBRO River at the heart of 75-mile-long region. Its name is actually derived from the tributary river OJA and RIO for river.

As in Valpolicella region of northern Italy valley’s play an important role; so here do the 7 valleys of the small but significant tributary rivers that flow into the river Ebro.
The OJA, NAJERILLA, IREGUA, LEZA, JUBERA, CIDACOS, ALHAMA.
