Les Héritiers Saint-Genys Mercurey Blanc 1er Cru 2017

Les Héritiers Saint-Genys established from vineyards that were and are owned by people who have inherited the vineyard sites but haev no interest in making or selling their own wines. Hench this was created by an idea from a Parsian restuaranter to tend, soruce and make wines from these ‘forgotten/neglected’ lands of Burgundy.

Whole bunches were fermented in oak barrels in a classic vinification style. Ageing also took place in oak barrels.

A savoury, toasty nose. Refined and vibrant on the palate, brightly citrus flavoured with a hint of smoky minerality and gently creamy oak. There is a lovely drying saline character to the long finish. This is delicious white Burgundy without having to remortgage. 13% vol.
