Telmo Rodrigez Al-Murvedre, Tinto Monastrell, Alicante

I have yet to taste a bad wine from Telmo Rodrigez who make wines all over Spain: here they found some fab Mourvedre grapes in Alicante, with certified-organic bush vines grown at between 500 and 700 metres above sea level.

This is a true Mediterranean expression of Monastrell. The aromas are full of slightly roasted berry and plum, with some earthiness. On the palate, this bold wine is full of dark fruits and garrigue notes, with an expressive and spicey finish. What we also love is that it’s just 13.5% vol.
