Casa Ferreirinha Papa Figos Tinto 2022

We have been lucky enough over the years to meet Luis Sottomayor, the winemaker of these excellent modern style approachable wines from the heart of the Douro valley.

This wine is deep ruby red in colour with violet nuances. Intensely aromatic with fresh red berries, heather and balsamic savoury spice on the nose. The spicy red fruit profile follows onto the full bodied palate that balances smooth tannins with well-integrated acidity on a harmonious finish. Around 25% of the wine is aged in used French oak barrels for 12 months.
