Chateau L’Ermite d’Auzan Blanc Costieres des Nimes 2023

We are thrilled to finally have this wine to our portfolio – and hopefully more will follow soon from this most passionate of producers, in the Costieres des Nimes region: an area we used to import wines from some 20 years ago!

Their proximity to the Camargues and the Med sea brings a cooling afternoon breeze that helps cool the vines, ensuring the white grapes maintain their fresh aromatics and acidity. Combine this with their work in the vineyard on biodynamics – to ensure the healthy soils – and it’s a match made in heaven (or Costieres des Nimes to be more precise!).

60% of the blend is Roussanne, followed by Viognier and Grenache Blanc. White floral notes and saline acidity. Jerome has also recently planted some Rolle (Vermentino), so we are excited to see how they develop in the years ahead. 13% vol.
