Domaine Laroche – Chablis Premier Cru – Les Vaudevey 2022

This 1er Cru site is note often seen as whilst it is a fairly large vineyard it is only owned by a handful of people and Domaine Laroche being one of them.

Intense, gold, rich and fine with notes of grapefruit. Elegant and sophisticated with a long-lasting finish. New vintage just arrived. 12% vol.

The hand-harvested fruit was carefully sorted at the winery. Fermentation took place in a mix of oak barrels (one to seven years old) and stainless-steel tanks (228, 400 and 600 litre capacity). After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged in the same casks and tanks on fine lees for a period of nine months. Following blending, the wine underwent further ageing on fine lees until bottling.
