Grillo is one of the indigenous white grape varieties of Sicily: here grown at just 800 metres from the sea and is one of the reasons for its name ‘ il Salinaro’, as the salinity and freshness of the sea comes through.
The Pellegrino family has a rich history, now in its 6th generation and was one of the founding members of the Masarla trade. Today the company has 150 hectares of vineyards, and 3 wineries all of which are solar powered. Pellegrino have been instrumental in putting Sicily on the winemaking map!
Delicate aromas of citrus blended with herbaceous notes and slight hints of peach and green apple. Really inviting and ideal summer time drinking. 13% vol.
