This wine is a real cracker… as it takes you down one path which leads to another! You expect it to be full bodied, foot firmly down on the throttle – yet it’s not, it’s in fact quite delicate.
The wine is deep ruby red in colour with violet reflections. A complex and intense nose characterised by an ample bouquet with black fruity notes combined with spicy scents alongside clear notes of coffee and vanilla. On the palate tannins are firm and smooth with a clean and dry finish.
Vesevo is situated in the Irpinian hills of Campania. Known as the ‘Switzerland of the South’, this is one of Italy’s most exciting wine-producing areas. The vineyards, planted between 450 and 700 metres above sea level, are subjected to a constant cool breeze that blows off the Bay of Naples. 13.5% vol.
