Wildeberg Terroir Series, Cinsault 2022

Well I have always loved the wines of JD Roussow’s (the winemaker at Wildeberg) and this is no exception! I recently tasted this in Manchester and again I’m delighted to add to our list, alongside his Chenin Terroirs Series and Somewhat Known Chardonnay.

Made from a single plot of Cinsualt planted in 1974 in Wellington.

This has just such a wonderful inviting red berried /cherry/raspberry, cinnamon notes on the nose and soft crunchy acidity that drive the wine with a touch of oak to give extra depth and dimension. This is certainly one of my favourite red wines that I’ve sampled this year and will be on our Christmas tasting. 13.5% vol.
